Oh the joy and the sleep the deprivation

My apologies for taking so long to post a few recent pictures.  We are adjusting to being a family of four with many sleep deprived nights and days that are still action packed.  Halloween was a blast.  Lillian trick or treated with Aunt Kalie, Colin and myself in tow....all at different times so that someone was home with Rowan and someone was home to pass out candy.  We had about 500 trick or treaters!

Just over a week old here.

Aunt Susan came to visit one morning and spoiled the girls.    This giant giraffe  is the latest addition to our home.  Lily lays on it day and night....think about it snack time, reading time, show watching time, summersaults, jumping, dancing and twirls......the fun never ends.

Sisterly love!

Band class with Aunt Megan, Laura and Ben.  Congrats Laura and Steve on baby Wesley (in the belly here) , we are so excited to meet him.

Aunt Brianna came to visit last weekend.  We made our first trip up north to visit Colin's family, meet Nolan and have a baby shower for Bri (she is due in Jan).  We had a blast.  Rowan did pretty good in the car as long as she was asleep.  The second she woke up, she screamed and screamed so the car ride home took a lot longer after she woke up twice and we had to stop and give her some awake time before getting back in the car.

Baby Nolan was born the day before Rowan.

A pretty princess!

Great Grandma Lily Bell.

3.5 weeks old.  She is a sweet, sweet baby.  So alert when she is awake.  Picking her head up and taking everything in.  We are still really struggling with reflux so she spends most of her day in the carrier so I can have my hands to be with Lily and she is upright which gives her a whole lot less discomfort after eating.  It takes over an hour for her to calm down after eating, some days are better than others.  Nights have been a challenge too because she is in so much discomfort when lying flat....so I have her propped and it takes a very long time after breast feeding to get her to sleep because of the discomfort.  So those two hours of sleeping while she sleeps have been cut in half frequently!  With certain positions - depending on her day and comfort level I get a full 3 hours of sleep.  That happens about every other night.  My good friend Meg asked me the other day if I was at the point when all I think about it when I can sleep again.......yep that is where I am at.  Is it nap time yet?
