NYE 2010

Lillian rocked New Years Eve in her sweater dress and festive headband.
Many of her friends were present and she had a great time. Happy New Year to all! We have much to be thankful for and we counted our blessings this weekend.

NYE was filled with good friends, great food, good drinks and well behaved kids! (Front Left to Right Geoff, Katie, Harper, Adrienne, Rosabel, Mikey; Back Colin, Lily, Julie, Celeste, Quinn, Brandon, Beck)

We were lucky to get this very interesting but typical kid picture, of course no one looked at the camera at the same time. What would have been a better and funnier shot was what was going on on the adult side of the room. Next time I will try and capture that.

After rockin' in the New Year Lily watched the Spartans get their tails whipped and then
she road tripped it to meet her new Cousin Dreigha (2 months old in this picture) and visit her cousin who was in Portland for a few days. It was a short but sweet trip. Welcome to the family Dre.

Playing with her new toy Santa brought her....Rody the donkey. This was the first of many recorded toy purchases that stemmed from my own childhood fantasies. I some how remember dreams of the giant red balls with a handle on top and bouncing around Toys R Us on them (or maybe it was an old commercial). I always wanted one and was never aloud to get one. So the second we saw a similar idea at a friends house I new Lily needed one. I will admit Rody is weight tested to 300# so I may have bounced around the house on Rody a few more times than Lily has but Rody will grow with her over the years and she will not have to just dream of hopping around on a giant ball, she will actually be able to bounce. Bounce Lily, bounce!

7 months old

Yesterday was Lillian's 7 month birthday and a lot has happened over the last month. We are finally sitting and eating rice cereal like a champ, in fact that tends to be her favorite (well that and sweet potatoes). Thank you Aunt Maureen and Aunt Debbie for the very stylish outfit!

6 Month Pictures
Friday, December 3, 2010
Hello, its been a while.

Our apologies for staying away so long, we have had a series of minor house disasters on our end that has taken all of our time and energy (why does everything have to come in threes?) But since the last posting a few fun things have happened.......Lillian loves to play/drink out of and hold her own glass. When she sees the glass and she is not drinking out of it a mini melt ensues, for now it is funny. I realize it won't always be funny. She also had her 6 month check up.....which was really closer to 6.5 months.....so on with the stats: 27 inches long (79th %tile), 19 pounds, 15 oz (94th %tile) and 17.5 inch head circumference (89th %tile).

We went to Eugene's lighting of the Christmas tree last weekend with friends, we also saw Prancer and Blitzen (if you can believe it), rocked out to a Christmas band and had hot cider all in less than an hour since it was bed time.

After a minor scare of possibly missing thanksgiving we had amazing food out at Big Mike and Bonnie Ray's tree farm. It was great to spend thanksgiving with the Davis family again.

2 weeks ago we woke up and I had one of those moments again where my daughter had grown over night, she looked much longer and her little feet that couldn't touch the edge of the chair she eats in were all of the sudden a kick, kick, kicken' the chair the entire time she ate. I told Colin that our little girl had grown over night and looked like a different baby and he didn't believe me. Then we put her in this toy that initially she couldn't touch her toes to the bottom in.......well she grew so much that we had to make the toy taller so she wasn't slumping in it. Isn't it amazing, 7 1/2 inches since birth, no wonder I am hungry all of the time.
