Halloween

Happy Halloween! Aunt Susan and Uncle Bob (below) had a great Halloween party/celebration of life/shower for Katy and Mike last weekend. The rule was to come in costume. Lily is a butterfly, I am a lady bug and Colin is the insect catcher. We had a blast and Lily loved being with the fam!

A bed bug and a cow boy!

French jack-o-lanterns and 29 ish weeks pregos!

Obama even showed to the party!

A pregnant witch that has clearly dropped.

"Driving Miss Daisey- with chauffeur and Daisey.
Kalie and Megan came as "ironic" Lion's fans (tribute to Happy Endings) and Colin showed up as a Lion's fan sooooo he joined the crowd.
A witch and her cat, Paws.

Two weekends ago we celebrated Netty's 2nd birthday. We had a great time with lots of toys, kids and good food.

The joys of trying to get a group kid shot.

Now that the weather has gotten a lot colder Chev spends a lot of time in the hat and gloves boxes. Last night Lily kept going up to him and saying, "Ahhhh Cheb." and giving him kisses.

Halloween Lake.

Sleepy Howell (hollow)

Howell had a huge Halloween celebration two weekends ago where they closed down the main streets and had trick or treating, games, hay rides, fire engines, haunted trains, music, and a costume contest for kids and animals. Lillian is a butterfly this year. She can't quite say butterfly but she points them out and signs them. Here she is walking with my mom to Sleepy Howell.

She didn't want to where her pants, she wanted to carry them.
Aunt Megan met us there.

Carol and Bill (Harper's grandma and grandpa) and many others came. There were 15,000 people. It was crazy.
Walking the hay maze with Aunt Kalie for the fourth time.

Doesn't that melt your heart?

Fall Days

Anymore these days when we take a picture of Lily she is making a funny face or moving too quickly so we get the back or side of her. For the first time in months, Colin was able to capture a few of the adorable faces we see on a day to day basis.

Budding rock star anyone?

This is a more typical face we get in our pictures!

Last weekend we were able to get out on a little 2 mile hike. There is a state park 2 miles from our house with lots of wooded trails for hiking and mountain biking. Lily walked at least 1/2 mile holding my hand.

We met Annette, Meg and Theron at Elizabeth and Jason's house last weekend for the big Michigan vs Michigan State game! We had a great time and the Spartan's won!

Reading with "gammy."

Look at that outfit!

Roxie is loving the falling leaves. On the other hand, Lily picks the leaves off of her the second they touch her.

Thank you Aunt Susan and Uncle Bob for Lily's first lava lamp fish tank. When ever she sees a picture of a fish she points at the fish tank and says, "fsshhh."

A good day!

Baby Einstein anyone?

2 weeks ago it rained all week long and Colin was about to go crazy until I mentioned this place. It was 3 stories of fun play house. Lily loved every second. There was even more rooms of bouncy houses and craziness but after climbing through these three stories this one was too tuckered out for bouncy houses.

Help me!!!

Kind of looks like Indiana Jone's with the rock coming after her.

Well maybe not when she is chasing the rock.

The beginning of a fantasy wonderland!

Chicago and the apple orchard!

We had a quick weekend exploring Chicago and spending time with cousins and our good friend Brian from Seattle. We stayed with cousin Katy and Mike at their beautiful new home in Chicago. Here is Lily walking through their lavender.

Brian ran the marathon in 3 hours and 56 minutes. He pretty much killed it! We cheered him on early Sunday morning but in the thousands of people we didn't get to actually see him run. That day we spent the afternoon at the beach. It was a beautiful weekend and Lily loved the sand.

Lily spent much of the weekend opening and closing the door on the left of the picture.

In the sun room, just chillin'.

Cousin Katy and Lily in the entryway with their amazing big door in the back . Check out the door bell, it is a real pull door bell. It was so amazing.

Katy and Mike and famous Olive, everyone we walked past wanted to stop and pet Olive and talk about how beautiful she was. Katy and Mike are 26 weeks pregos! Katy has never looked so beautiful. They were great hosts even if they did force us to stay up until 3 am drinking good wine (well not Katy).

Cousins!

Lake Michigan, 70+ degrees and beautiful this weekend.

Lily slept through most of the walking tour.

There is a great apple orchard 10 minutes from the house. We have been twice already. The apples, donuts, cider and wine are great.

Ahhh, sunset on the lake.
